Some California employers are required to test their employees hearing annually and take the necessary precautions to reduce hearing loss due to noise exposure. Many of these employers turn to the Agency For Hearing. We work with them to meet OSHA requirements, provide hearing protection and educate employees on hearing conversation methods. Over the years, we have successfully tested thousands of employees.
The Agency For Hearing
has state-of-the-art equipment and the professional staff necessary for business owners to be in compliance with OSHA regulations. Currently, we serve companies with 2 to 2,000 employees.
Audiometric Testing
Testing may be performed in our clinic or in our mobile test unit. The frequencies tested are 500, 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000, 6000 and 8000 Hz. Test conditions conform to the current standards defined in Title 8 of the California Administrative Code. Testing procedures can be tailored to minimize downtime.
Records Management
The Audiologist prepares individual findings for all the employees tested and submits a computerized summary to the employer within two weeks of the testing date. The Agency For Hearing maintains records and files in accordance with the current OSHA regulations. Follow-up recommendations and individual letters are prepared for each employee.
Staff
Our Audiologist is licensed by the State of California Board of Medical Quality and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association. Our staff performs all the work; we do not sub-contact.

The Agency For Hearing offers seminars for management and employees.
2. Custom Fitted Hearing Protection Devices
Upon request, we will make custom earplugs for your employees. This can be accomplished at your site or in our clinic.
Differential Diagnostic Testing With A Ratable Report can only be done in our clinic. Differential Diagnostic testings is an extensive battery of tests. Artiest report for workman's compensation cases can be furnished with the text results.
Insurance
The Agency For Hearing carries general liability, workers compensation and professional liability insurance.
